We do not have school on Monday, February 17th, in honor of President’s day.
Class and Specialty pictures will be taken on Wednesday, February 26th.
Come to the greatest art show! The elementary art show will be held on February 13 from 6-8 pm in the old gym at the high school. There will be refreshments and a silent auction.
This time of year it is on your mind to protect yourself and your family from cold, flu, and other sickness. It's crucial to wash your hands, cover your cough, get enough sleep and drink lots of water. Often we focus so much on physical health we may forget about our mental and emotional health.
Taking care of yourself and your family's mental health is just as crucial, especially during the long winter months. Take 5 minutes a day to practice mindfulness-being in the moment. Practice taking deep, slow breathes when you are feeling stressed out or overwhelmed is a skill that can be practiced over and over and the outcome is beneficial to you. Kids, especially, need to be reminded to take care of their mental health. Allowing a short amount of time during the day to unwind, relax, and focus on themselves, is a good skill they can practice as they grow up. Giving time just for yourself is the groundwork for self-care. It can also ease a lot of emotional stress and help balance out day-to-day tasks.
